STORIES FROM A RECENT 3-month USA TRIP (shipped bike over from Australia)
I almost don’t know what to say or how to explain this part of the world. The roads are magnificent to ride and should be on everyone’s list. The views amazing, even if we did cop some mist and clouds. The sun shone at the right times for most of the part.
This section of the 3-month adventure was over a couple of days and was also the section we got a bit lost a few times. As you know getting lost can sometimes be a blessing. We found our way to Cooters Garage Luray VA, and it just so happened to be Cooters birthday, so the celebrations were starting when we got there. Sadly, we couldn’t stay as there was still a big day ahead of us. Now not being much of a Dukes of Hazard person I didn’t quite know too much about this whole thing. But people came from miles to celebrate and see The General Lee , the museum and of course to meet Ol’ Cooter Himself! . It would have been the best day!!
And once again met some lovely people. We also stayed just outside of Roanoke at a great gals place Vicki who I met at Indian Bike week. Her property was simply gorgeous and what a beautiful thing getting lost leaving there was

‘Country Roads take me home to the place where I belong’….. It sticks in your head and will always be a great reminder of this special part of the adventure.
Thanks for joining me- until next time xx
